Not reducing caricatures to a gallery wall
Through personal footprints, archival documents, and visual narratives, the artist's production world was made readable from up close; supported by interactive lecterns and digital stations.

Bringing the humor, critique, and intellectual depth behind the line together with the visitor.
"How much history is hidden behind a line?"
The life and artistic journey of Turhan Selçuk, one of the master names of Turkish caricature art, is a world where humor, line, and thought turn into a powerful narrative extending into collective memory. The core problem of the design was to bring caricatures beyond a classic gallery wall.
"We did not exhibit caricatures; we revealed the thought behind humor."
Through personal footprints, archival documents, and visual narratives, the artist's production world was made readable from up close; supported by interactive lecterns and digital stations.

Turhan Selçuk's artistic language, which left its mark in Turkey and around the world, was addressed alongside the social events of his era and his observations on human nature.

Drawings inside illuminated frames, along with the red lecterns standing opposite them, bring rhythm to the exhibition. Showcase cases display personal traces and documents right alongside the drawings.
Here, the visitor transforms from someone who merely observes the works into a participant who discovers the critique, humor, and intellectual depth behind the line.
