About the Project
Designed for the Sivas Governorate, the Migration and Expatriation Museum is a museum that narrates migration and the experience of living away from home through personal stories.
The exhibition begins with scenes such as the "Separation Room": a bed, a chest, and a street seen through the door recreate the final moment before departure. The journey corridor carries visitors away from the city with a line embedded in the floor.
Documents, photographs, and everyday objects like a dining table combine with views of Sivas on a curved screen to convey both separation and longing.
