About the Project
Çandarlı Book Cafe is a public cafe and library designed for Dikili Municipality, bringing together reading, working, and gathering in a stone-walled space.
The venue was designed preserving its natural stone walls, wooden ceiling, and arched windows. Work desks and bookshelves lining the walls define the boundaries of the space, while a seating island filled with plants in the center forms the heart of the cafe usage.
Wooden slatted dividers separate the working area from the seating area without closing it off; warm light and dark wood flooring create a serene atmosphere that highlights the texture of the stone.
