1. Terms of Use
Ottoman Siege Cannons is a mobile application developed by Müze Kolektifi. These terms describe the conditions governing your use of the application.
1.1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the application, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you should discontinue using the application.
1.2. Purpose of the Application
The application is designed to provide information and an interactive experience relating to Ottoman-era siege cannons and relevant historical content. Its content is provided for informational, educational, and cultural purposes.
1.3. Intellectual Property
The application's software, interface, design, and content are owned by their respective rights holders. Except where permitted by applicable law, these materials may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without authorization.
1.4. Advertising
The application may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services to support its operation. The content and delivery of these advertisements depend on the relevant advertising providers and their systems.
1.5. Limitation of Liability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the application functional and secure. However, uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Technical issues, device incompatibilities, and interruptions caused by third-party services may affect availability. Nothing in this section excludes liability or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
1.6. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the application or applicable legal requirements. The updated version will be published on this page.
2. Privacy Policy
Müze Kolektifi respects the privacy of users of Ottoman Siege Cannons. The application's core functionality does not require users to provide personal details such as their name or email address. However, third-party advertising technologies may process certain device and usage data when delivering advertisements.
2.1. What Data May Be Processed?
Depending on the advertising SDKs integrated into the application and their configuration, the following categories of data may be processed:
- Advertising identifiers: Identifiers used by mobile operating systems and advertising services to support advertising-related functions.
- Device and application information: Technical information such as device model, operating system version, and application version.
- IP address and network information: Information that advertising providers may process to deliver advertisements, maintain security, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Advertising interactions and diagnostic data: Technical records relating to ad impressions, interactions, application performance, and troubleshooting.
This list describes data that may be processed; it does not mean that every category is collected in every instance. Actual data processing depends on the SDKs used and their configuration.
2.2. Why Is This Data Processed?
Device and advertising identifiers may be processed primarily to deliver and manage advertisements within the application. Depending on the provider, technical data may also be used to manage advertising frequency, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain the security and reliability of advertising services.
2.3. Identification and Personal Data
The application is not designed to use advertising identifiers to directly establish the real-world identity of its users. The application's core functionality does not require users to provide their names or email addresses.
However, an advertising identifier may still be considered personal data under applicable data protection laws if it can be linked to an identifiable person, including through information held by third parties. The fact that an identifier does not directly reveal a person's name does not necessarily mean that it falls outside the scope of personal data regulations.
2.4. Third-Party Service Providers
The application may use third-party advertising services to display advertisements. These providers may collect or process certain data directly from the device to deliver advertisements and operate their services.
Such processing may be subject to the providers' respective privacy policies and terms. The countries in which data is processed, the retention periods, and the categories of recipients may vary depending on the services used.
The advertising providers actually used by the application and links to their privacy policies should be identified below.
- Google AdMob, if integrated: Google Privacy Policy
Only list providers that are actually integrated into the application.
2.5. Data Security and Retention
Müze Kolektifi aims to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data processed under its control. Data retention periods and security practices applied by third-party advertising providers are governed by their respective policies and practices.
The categories of data stored by the application operator, and the periods for which that data is retained, depend on the application's actual technical implementation and data processing activities.
2.6. User Choices and Advertising Preferences
Depending on the device and operating system, users may be able to reset or delete their advertising identifier through device settings. Users may also be able to adjust personalized advertising preferences where supported by the platform and advertising service.
Disabling personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent advertisements from being displayed.
2.7. Children's Privacy
The application's intended audience and advertising technologies must be assessed in accordance with applicable rules concerning children's privacy. If the application is directed toward children, the suitability of advertising SDKs and ad content must be reviewed and configured accordingly.
2.8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the application's data processing practices or third-party services change. The revised version will be published on this page.
